The badge in the **Stage** column on **Contacts** shows where someone stands right now: their deal if they have one, otherwise their lead stage.

## What it can say

- An open deal: the deal's side and stage, such as "Buying · Offer" or "Selling · Listed". With more than one open deal, you see the one closest to closing, and a gray badge such as "+1" counts the others.
- Only closed deals: their most recent closed deal, such as "Buying · Closed".
- No deals: their lead stage, **New Lead**, **Contacted** or **Qualified**.

On **Leads**, the badge is always the lead stage, since a lead with a deal moves off that list.

## Colors

Each default stage has its own color: **New Lead** orange, **Contacted** gray, **Qualified** blue, **Showing** and **Listing appointment** amber, **Offer** and **Listed** purple, **Under Contract** teal, and **Closed** green. A deal stage you renamed shows in gray.

## Filtering and sorting by stage

- The **Stage** filter on **Contacts** lists the lead stages, then each side's deal stages, such as "Buying · Showing". A lead stage finds the people whose badge shows it. A deal stage finds everyone with a deal there, including deals counted in "+1".
- Sorting by **Stage** follows the whole journey: lead stages first, then open deals, then closed.
- **Export** writes the badge text into the Stage column of the file.
