In step 3 of setup, **How do you want to start?**, you choose one of three starting points. Pick one and click **Continue**.

## Explore with demo data

Marked **Recommended**. Relivo fills your workspace with realistic sample contacts, deals, listings, tasks and conversations (texts, emails and notes), so you can see how **Today**, **Pipeline** and the contact timeline work before you add your own.

- Every sample record is marked as demo data, so it can be removed later without touching anything you add yourself.
- While it is there, **Today** shows a banner saying you are exploring with sample data, with buttons to **Import contacts** or **Remove demo data**.
- Demo data is only added during setup. If you remove it, it doesn't come back.

## Import my contacts

After the last setup step, Relivo opens the import screen so you can upload a CSV file from your current CRM or a spreadsheet and match its columns. See [Import and export](/import-and-export).

## Start clean

An empty workspace. Add contacts as you go, with **Quick add** or by importing a file later from **Contacts** > **Import**.

## Changing course later

- Chose demo data and want it gone: see [Remove the demo data](/getting-started/remove-the-demo-data).
- Chose to start clean and want to import after all: click **Import** on **Contacts** or **Leads** at any time.
