A listing has one of four statuses: **Active**, **Pending**, **Sold** or **Off market**. Change it with **Status** on the listing's edit form.

## Status and the seller's deal

When a listing has a seller, its status and the seller's Selling deal on **Pipeline** move together, whichever one you change:

| Listing status | Selling deal stage |
| --- | --- |
| **Active** | Listed |
| **Pending** | Under Contract |
| **Sold** | Closed |
| **Off market** | No change |

So you can drag the Selling deal to Under Contract on **Pipeline** and the listing becomes Pending, or mark the listing Sold and the deal closes. A deal at Listing appointment leaves the listing's status as it is.

A buyer's deal that closes on one of your listings also marks it Sold, and that closes the seller's Selling deal too.

## Sold listings

- The price and the seller are locked: the form shows **Price (sold, locked)** and "A sold listing keeps its seller".
- On **Properties**, sold listings sit at the bottom of **All**.
- Setting a sold listing back to Active or Pending reopens the seller's Selling deal, unless that deal was closed with a sale price. Then a new Selling deal starts instead.

:::note
Stage names here are the defaults. If you renamed a stage on **Pipeline**, the same position in the list is used.
