Rename a stage from the menu in its column header on **Pipeline**.

1. **Open the column menu**

    On **Pipeline**, choose **Buying** or **Selling**, point at the column and click the three-dot button that appears in its header.

2. **Rename it**

    Click **Rename stage**, type the new name and press <kbd>Enter</kbd>. <kbd>Esc</kbd> keeps the old name.

The new name shows everywhere the stage appears: the board, deal pages, contact lists and **Analytics**.

## Good to know

- Each side has its own stages. Renaming Under Contract on **Buying** leaves Under Contract on **Selling** as it is.
- You can rename stages, but you can't add, remove or reorder them.
- The default stages each have a color. A renamed stage turns gray, unless you give it another default stage's name.
- The last stage on each side stays your closed stage after you rename it, so closing a deal and **Analytics** keep working.

Don't name any other stage "Closed". Relivo treats a stage named Closed as the closed stage on that side, wherever it sits.
