If you are signed in, change your password in **Settings** > **Security**. If you have forgotten it, use **Forgot password?** on the sign-in screen to get a reset link by email.

## Change your password

1. **Open Security**

    Click **Settings**, then **Security**.

2. **Type the new password twice**

    Under **Change password**, enter it in **New password** and again in **Confirm new password**. The card shows the minimum length.

3. **Update**

    Click **Update password**. Relivo shows **Password updated**.

You don't need your current password for this, because you are already signed in.

## Reset a forgotten password

1. **Ask for a link**

    On the sign-in screen, click **Forgot password?**. Enter the email you signed up with and click **Send reset link**.

2. **Open the email**

    Relivo shows **Check your email**. Open the email and click the link. Didn't get it? Check your spam folder.

3. **Set a new password**

    On **Set a new password**, enter it in **New password** and **Confirm password**, then click **Update password**. Relivo signs you in and takes you to **Today**.

A reset link works once, and only for a short while. If you see **This link has expired**, click **Request a new link** and use the new one straight away.

## Messages you might see

- **Passwords do not match.**: the two fields are different. Type them again.
- **Your new password must be different from your current one.**: choose a password you aren't using now.
- **This password has appeared in a data breach. Choose a different one.**: Relivo checks passwords against known breaches. Pick one you haven't used anywhere else.
- **We can't send more emails right now. Try again later.**: too many reset emails went out in a short time. Wait a few minutes before you ask again.
