Today is one list of the people and tasks that need you, ranked on a single urgency score so the most pressing item is at the top. It is never split into sections.

Today ranks what needs you now, most urgent first.

## What can appear

| Item | When it appears | Button |
| --- | --- | --- |
| New lead | A lead at **New Lead** added in the last 48 hours that nobody has reached out to yet | **Reach out** |
| Listing inquiry | Someone asked about a listing on its property microsite and you haven't answered yet | **Respond** |
| Cooling | An active lead or client has gone longer than their stage allows without contact | **Re-engage** |
| Task | An open task due today or overdue | **Complete** |

## How the list is ranked

Each kind of item has its own rule, and the scores overlap on purpose so context wins:

- New leads get more urgent every hour for 48 hours, and always rank above a listing inquiry.
- Listing inquiries get steadily more urgent while the person waits, but never pass a new lead.
- Tasks rank by priority (**High**, **Medium** or **Low**), and climb for each day they are overdue, for up to two weeks.
- Cooling contacts rank higher the further past their limit they are, the closer their deal is to closing, and the larger the deal value or budget.

So a **High** priority task that is a week overdue can sit above a new lead, and a large deal going quiet can sit above a small one.

## How much fits

Today shows up to 15 items. At most 10 of them are tasks, so a backlog of tasks can't push leads and cooling contacts off the list. When there aren't enough other items, tasks fill the remaining places. Listing inquiries don't count toward the 10.

## Reading a card

- The title says what it is, such as "New Lead: Maya Chen" or "Cooling: Sam Ortiz", and the line under it says why, such as "Overdue by 2 days" or "No contact in 6 days." A task with a note shows the note there instead, and an inquiry shows the person's message.
- The badge shows where the person stands: their lead stage, or their deal's side and stage, such as "Buying · Offer".
- New leads and cooling contacts show what is at stake, such as "$450k potential": their largest open deal, or their **Budget to** when they have no deal value.
- The link under the card opens their contact page.

The header shows today's date and how many things need you. "Today" follows your computer's own date and time zone, so a task due today appears from your local midnight.

:::tip
When the list says **All clear**, you have handled everything that needed you today.
