Create an app password for Gmail and Google Workspace
Turn on 2-Step Verification and create a Google app password, so you can connect Gmail or Workspace with two-way sync.
A Google app password is a 16-character code that lets Relivo connect to your Gmail or Google Workspace mailbox over IMAP, without your normal password. Google only offers app passwords once 2-Step Verification is on.
Turn on 2-Step Verification
In your Google Account, open Security and turn on 2-Step Verification.
Open App passwords
Search your Google Account for “App passwords” and open that page. In the Before you connect window in Relivo, Open Google App Passwords takes you there directly.
Create the app password
Create a new app password, name it something like “Relivo”, and copy the 16-character code.
Use it to connect
Back in Relivo, click Continue to connect and use the code as the password, not your normal Gmail password.
Keep the code private, as you would a password.
