A photo, video or attachment won't upload
The size limits and file types for photos, tour videos and email attachments, the message each upload shows, and what to do.
Relivo refuses an upload that is over its size limit or isn’t a photo or video type it can show. Nothing is saved, so you can pick a different file and try again.
The limits
| What you upload | Types | Largest file |
|---|---|---|
| Photos (listing photos, contact photos, your profile photo and logo) | JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF | 15 MB |
| Tour videos | MP4, WebM, MOV | 100 MB |
| Email attachments | Any file | 15 MB for all of one email’s attachments together |
Contact photos take JPEG, PNG and WebP only. Larger JPEG, PNG and WebP photos are made smaller in your browser before they upload, so most phone and camera photos fit. GIF and AVIF files upload as they are.
What each upload shows
| Upload | Message when it’s refused |
|---|---|
| Tour video | “That file is too large” with the limit, or “Unsupported file type” |
| Listing photos | “1 image failed to upload.” (or the number that failed). The others are added. |
| Logo | “Logo upload failed” |
| Contact photo | “Couldn’t upload the photo. Try again.” |
| Profile photo | No message. Your old photo stays. |
What to do
- For a photo, export it as a JPEG, or save a smaller copy, and upload that. iPhone photos are often HEIC, which Relivo can’t show: export them as JPEG first, or set the iPhone camera format to Most Compatible.
- An SVG logo is refused. Save it as a PNG and upload that.
- For a tour video, shorten or compress it, or turn it into MP4. For a longer tour, put it on YouTube or Vimeo and paste its link instead. See Add a tour video.
“Attachments can add up to 15 MB per email”
The limit covers every file on one email together, because many mailboxes refuse larger messages. Remove a file, send the rest in a second email, or share a large file as a link in the message.
