Imported contacts aren't on Today or Leads

Why people you imported show on Contacts but not on Leads or Today, and how to make them leads.

Where you started the import decides where people land. An import started from Contacts adds plain contacts, which don’t appear on Leads or Today. An import started from Leads adds active leads.

Find out which applies

  • You imported from Contacts. That’s working as intended: past clients and your sphere stay off your daily list. To work some of them as leads, open each one and choose Convert to active lead. Importing the same file again from Leads won’t change them, because rows that match people already in Relivo merge into them and leave them as contacts.
  • The people were already in Relivo. A row that matches someone you have merges into them, and they stay a contact or a lead as they were. See How CSV duplicates are merged.
  • They have a deal. Someone with a deal is a client, so they show on Contacts and Pipeline rather than Leads.

Leads that are on Leads but not on Today

Today isn’t a list of every lead. It holds up to 15 items, ranked by urgency, so after a large import only the most urgent leads show at first.

  • A new lead shows as “New Lead” while they are in the New Lead stage, nobody has reached out yet, and they were added less than 48 hours ago.
  • After that, they come back as a cooling contact once they’ve gone quiet for longer than their stage allows.

See How Today works. Every imported lead stays on Leads in the meantime.
