Track website visitors
Add a tracking snippet to your website to see who visits, which pages they read, and their earlier visits once they become a contact.
Visitor tracking shows the visits to your own website in Relivo. Visitors stay anonymous until they fill in a Relivo lead form on that site. From then on, their visits, including the ones before the form, show on their contact’s Timeline.
Connect your website
Open Visitor tracking
Click Capture in the sidebar, then Visitor tracking.
Add your website
Click Connect website (or Add website if you already track one). Enter a Name, such as “Smith Realty website”, and the site’s Domain, such as example.com. Click Connect.
Copy the tracking snippet
Under Tracking snippet, click Copy.
Paste it into every page
Paste the snippet into the head of every page on your site. Most site builders have one setting for this, often called header code or code injection, which adds it to every page at once.
Once the snippet is live, visits appear under Recent activity. Reload the page in Relivo to see the newest ones. Each website’s row shows its visitor count and when the last visit was.
Read the activity
Recent activity lists the latest visits to the website you’ve selected, newest first. Each line says what the visitor did, such as viewing a page or filling in a form. Visitors Relivo hasn’t matched to a contact show as “Anonymous visitor”. A visitor who became a contact shows by name; click it to open the contact.
On a contact’s Timeline, their visits show as the pages they viewed, with a count when they viewed a page more than once, alongside the forms they filled in.
Pause, edit or remove a website
- Edit on the website’s row changes its name or domain.
- In the menu (three dots), Pause tracking stops recording visits and shows the website as Paused. Resume tracking starts it again. The snippet can stay on your site while paused.
- Remove website stops tracking and deletes the visits it recorded. Contacts it brought in stay.
