Close a deal

Record the final sale price, commission rate, close date and gross commission when a deal reaches Closed.

Move the deal to Closed and Relivo asks for the sale before it saves anything.

Close a deal

Move it to Closed

Drag the card to the Closed column on Pipeline, or click Closed in the row of stages on the deal’s page. Close deal opens.

Enter the sale price

Final sale price starts at the deal’s value. Change it to what the home sold for.

Check the rate and date

Commission rate starts at your Default commission rate from Settings > Profile, even when you set a different rate on the deal, so check it. Close date starts at today.

Check the commission

Gross commission is worked out from the sale price and the rate. Type your own figure for a split or a flat fee. Changing the rate works it out again.

Save

Click Close deal. Cancel saves nothing, and on the board the card goes back where it was.

What closing does

  • The deal moves to Closed with its sale price, rate, commission and close date, and a “Deal closed” entry goes on the contact’s timeline with the sale and the commission.
  • The home the deal is about is marked Sold. The line above the buttons names it, such as “Marks 4108 Duval St sold.” Closing never marks any other listing sold.
  • When a Buying deal closes on a listing you also sell, your seller’s Selling deal closes with it, and the line says so.
  • Analytics counts the deal in its closed totals. See How Analytics counts your numbers.

Add sale details later

A deal can reach Closed without a sale price: when you mark its listing Sold, or when a buyer’s deal closes your seller’s deal on the same home. Its page then shows Add sale details next to Details. Click it to open Close deal and record that sale’s own price and commission.

Closed by mistake

Drag the deal back to an earlier stage, or click an earlier stage on its page. Its close date is cleared. Its sale price and commission stay on the deal.

Its home stops being marked Sold, unless another deal on that home closed with its own sale price. A Selling deal moved back to Listed or Under Contract sets its listing to Active or Pending.
