Import into Contacts or Leads
Where you start an import decides whether people arrive as plain contacts or as active leads on Leads and Today.
Start from Contacts to add people to your address book, or from Leads to add them as active leads you want to follow up with.

Choosing Import my contacts while you set up your account imports from Leads, so those people arrive as active leads.
Which to choose
- Past clients and your sphere: import from Contacts. They won’t crowd Today with follow-ups.
- Leads you are working now, such as an export of recent inquiries: import from Leads.
Split one file into two if it holds both.
