The next action on a contact

How Relivo picks a contact's next action, and how to set, change or finish it from their page or the preview.

A contact’s Next action is their open task that is due soonest, shown on their contact page and in the contact preview, so you can see the next step at a glance.

How it is picked

  • The open task with the earliest due date comes first.
  • Between tasks due the same day, the higher priority wins.
  • Tasks with no due date come after every dated task.

When they have no open tasks, it says “No next action”.

Set, change or finish it

On the contact’s page:

  • Add or Set one opens Add a next action. See Add a task.
  • Edit opens Edit next action. Its reminder starts empty, so set it again if the task had one.
  • The round button (Mark done) finishes it. If it was their last open task, Relivo opens Add a next action for the next one.

In the contact preview:

  • The round button finishes it.
  • Set one opens Log it, then set the next step, where you can log what happened and add the next step together.
  • Edit opens the full contact page.
